Safety is a core value with our customers and shared by HOLT CAT and Cat. That is why Cat Hoses & Couplings are subjected to the most rigorous testing in the industry to ensure a perfect fit that delivers maximum safety and dependability.

You name it, Caterpillar tests it: rubber compression and elongation; wire tensile-strength; hose impulse, burst pressure, temperature adaptability, abrasion, and flexibility; coupling salt-spray; and metallurgical testing exceeding many key industry standards. Cat XT hoses are tested at 1 million impulse cycles for internal failure--the applicable SAE standard is 500,000 cycles, the EN standard is 400,000.

In flex tests and impulse testing pressure on/off, from zero pressure to 133% of maximum working pressure, Cat hoses withstand a million repetitions. And, while abrasion is the biggest contributor to external damage, Caterpillar tests hoses according to ISO 6945, taking a 50 Newton v-shaped steel block, placing it on our hoses and cycling it back and forth to the point of wire exposure.
